Opal Label Converter

A standout product within our label converting line portfolio, the Opal Series Converter incorporates complete direct-drive AC Servo motor control. This advanced system enables high-speed full rotary die cutting of supported materials, including both paper and film, via traditional vertical or horizontal die-cutting stations.

The die-cutting modules are modular in design and can be configured to match standard ASHE die formats or integrate existing tooling already in use, either independently or in combination (subject to compatible tooling).

Tension management is maintained through in-feed and out-feed servo-powered nip assemblies located before and after the die-cutting units. This ensures exceptional cutting accuracy and delivers some of the tightest tolerances available in the market. The Opal system supports high-speed die cutting of pre-printed materials, complete with register control capability.

Both vertical and horizontal station variants support the use of ‘adjustable anvils’ for enhanced die-cutting precision. All types of anvil configurations can be custom-engineered into each station as needed. ASHE’s patented die station technology is designed to be adapted based on end-user specifications.

Additional conversion capabilities include delamination/relamination units, full and partial lamination stations, flexographic spot and flood coating stations, back-scoring modules, and integrated inkjet printing.

As an option, ASHE’s patented, fully automated glueless turret rewind system can be integrated into converting lines for seamless automation.
